Aerial: Please book international flights arriving in the afternoon of Day 1 and departing from San Jose
in the evening of the last day 10. Please note that arrivals and departures outside of the above hours will result in additional private transfers.

Formalities: For French nationals, the passport must be valid for six months after the date of return.

Health: No vaccinations are mandatory.

Climate: Tropical throughout the territory, except in the mountain region where the climate is temperate.
Normally, the dry season takes place from December to April and the rainy season from May to November.

Early departure to Guápiles, in the region of Tortuguero.

Transfer to collective service.

Breakfast at a local restaurant en route.

During the group tour with your English-speaking guide, first contact with the lush nature of Costa Rica.

Arrival in Caño Blanco/La Pavona, embarkation in collective service to go up the main canal that runs along the coast
to the Tortuguero National Park in the heart of the tropical forest.

Check-in and lunch at the lodge.

In the afternoon, walk through the village, typical of the Caribbean coast. Return to the hotel by the beach.

Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Departure for the visit of Doka café, located in the vicinity of Volcán Poas, the tour will start in the coffee plantations where you will also be able to learn about the coffee process and its history. You will also visit a small butterfly farm located next to the plantation.

Continue to the town of La Fortuna, located at the foot of the Arenal Volcano, an emblematic image of Costa Rica for its perfect conical shape. It is a protected area that is a living laboratory for its geological and geomorphological richness as well as for the complexity of its biological processes. Its first activity was due in 1968. Morning dedicated to visiting the 1968 Park, hiking on the first eruption of the same year. This is undoubtedly the best vantage point when the volcano is clear. It overlooks the Arenal National Park and is easy to observe the rich nature that surrounds the volcano. Its main feature is the majestic, near-perfect cone at an elevation of 1,670 feet.

Heading to the central region of Guanacaste, Guanacaste is the westernmost region of Costa Rica, a beautiful, dry, arid region that is home to the bustling Rincón de Vieja National Park. Just 45 minutes from Liberia, one of the country's largest cities, this National Park was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999.

The landscape, very contrasting, includes a thick tropical forest populated by howler monkeys and rich in exuberant vegetation where the "guaria morada", the national flower of Costa Rica, nestles.
