Transfer to the archaeological site of Iximché
is a pre-Columbian archaeological site in the western highlands of Guatemala. From its founding in 1470 until its abandonment in 1527, Chi Iximcheꞌ was the capital of the Kaqchikel kingdom in the Late Postclassic. The architecture of the site includes several pyramidal temples, palaces, and two Mesoamerican ball fields. During excavations at the site, the remains of painted murals—in poor condition—in some of the buildings and extensive evidence of human sacrifice were discovered.

Today we will take a boat ride to San Juan Laguna,
San Juan La Laguna is known for a quiet town, with a great wealth of crafts, with its women weavers, with people dedicated to art and for its unparalleled landscapes.
We will continue our boat ride to Santiago Atitlán a town famous for its idiosyncrasy, where they worship their idol called MAximon, we will visit this deity to whom the locals make different requests, for health, luck, work, etc.

Visit of the site
Arrival at the Tikal National Park of 576 km2. The park brings together 3000 buildings, 200 steles associated with altars and no less than 100,000 objects. Located in the heart of the Mayan Biosphere, Tikal is in the middle of a tropical forest, where you can observe the exuberant flora (kapok trees, sapodilla trees, palm trees, and fauna, especially spider monkeys and birds, where nearly 300 species have been recorded.
