Chile and Quimbaya Tours Chile obtain the Certification “Tourism Confidence”
After the announcement of the reopening of national parks and some national air links in Chile, the tourism sector is also preparing, by adopting a biosecurity label.
The certificate of commitment “Confianza Turistica” (Tourist Confidence) has just been presented during an official joint announcement between the public and private sectors by the Under-Secretary for Tourism José Luis Uriarte, the national director of the National Service of Tourism (SERNATUR) Andrea Wolleter and representatives of the main federations and associations of the tourism, gastronomic and hotel sector in the country.
This label can be obtained (free of charge) by all tourism service providers registered with SERNATUR and commits them to strictly and rigorously apply the basic health measures and standards and established biosafety protocols.
The Assistant Secretary for Tourism, José Luis Uriarte indicated that “this certificate of engagement is part of an integral plan on which the government is working and whose objective is to prepare companies in the sector to meet the new demands that imposes the current health situation ”.
For her part, Andrea Wolleter, National Director of Sernatur, underlined that: “We are preparing today as a sector with this preliminary step, for reactivation. This requires the effort of all tourism stakeholders and especially tourism service providers, who must adapt their establishments and their operations to the health measures established by the authority in order to start receiving tourists when the country situation allows it. We invite you to join us and prepare together for responsible and safe tourism, by implementing the protocols and acquiring this certificate ”.
In this context, Quimbaya Tours Chile presented its bio-security protocols to the Chilean Ministry of Tourism SERNATUR and obtained the Confianza Turistica (Tourist Confidence) commitment certification.
