COUNTRY MANAGER​

COUNTRY MANAGER

The main function of the COUNTRY MANAGER is to supervise and manage the team and all tourism activities of the company in close collaboration with the Country Administrator and to ensure that the standards and level of service offered by the company are met.

  • Representing the company to official tourism bodies, tourism local Institutions and associations.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of the destination, operations and tourism products.
  • Propose new destinations and innovative products, negotiate with suppliers.
  • Follow up relations with the destination’s clients.
  • Ensure the development of relationships within the team and with the company’s sales teams.
  • Ensure the smooth running of our passengers’ journeys.
  • Be familiar with the IT systems used by the company Tourplan and Salesforce.

Qualifications and skills required for the position :

  • Extensive experience in the field of incoming tourism
  • Ability to communicate in 2 languages (ideally English or French, in addition to Spanish which is mandatory and Portuguese if applying for Brazil).
  • Knowledge of TourplanNX (ideal, but if you know other systems, you can apply).
  • Ability to lead teams.
  • Ability to interact with the country’s tourism associations and chambers
  • In-depth knowledge of the destination/country at tourism level

SALES MANAGER​

The main function of the SALES MANAGER is to ensure that the sales team -Sales Executives- follow up commercially on each of the destination’s customer requests and the relevance of the travel offers proposed so that they become bookings and sales.

  • Work closely with the Key Account Manager of the market to which each client belongs and support the work of the sales team in Europe and in each of the markets where the company is present.
  • Monitor the sales of customers who purchase the destination.
  • Generate sales reports and monitor the profitability of each sale.
  • Support the CM in researching new destinations and products, negotiating fares and coordinating with the reservations and operations teams to ensure the smooth running of each trip sold to customers.
  • Ensure smooth communication with customers.
  • Ensure that sales managers follow up on each order within the established timeframe.
  • Participate in the consolidation and growth of destination sales.
  • Motivate customers to work with other destinations offered by the company.

Qualifications and skills required for the position:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in tourism or related sectors.
  • Ability to communicate in two languages (ideally English or French, in addition to

OPERATIONS MANAGER

The main function of the OPERATIONS MANAGER position is to ensure that the tourism operations of each trip sold by the company to its customers at the destination run smoothly and seamlessly.

  • Ensure that each trip is carried out as proposed by the sales department and confirmed by the booking managers.
  • Supervise the quality of services provided by suppliers and ensure that the required quality standards are met.
  • Select guides according to the quality standards of the company’s guidance.
  • Supervise and control payments to suppliers and payments to customers.
  • Supervise the operation of the branches and the delivery of services in the different regions of the country.

Qualifications and skills required for the position:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in tourism or related fields.
  • Ability to communicate in 2 languages (ideally English or French, in addition to Spanish which is mandatory and Portuguese if applying for Brazil).

SALES EXECUTIVE

The main function of the SALES EXECUTIVE is to ensure communication with the clients entrusted to him/her and the growth of their sales:

  • Manage the relationship with the client
  • Make quotations and respond to each of their requests
  • Ensuring that the products manufactured for each client meet their requirements in terms of price and quality of service.
  • Find the best options for the construction of each client’s trip.
  • Apply the pricing policies set by the company
  • Ensuring smooth communication
  • To respect the deadlines for responding to each of the requests for quotes received.

BOOKINGS EXECUTIVE

The main function of this position is to block and book each service offered in the programme confirmed by each customer.

  • To seek solutions in case of unavailability of the services offered on the passengers’ travel dates.
  • Ensure that the services correspond to the level offered and the budget established.
  • Confirm what has been booked for each client.
  • Invoice the contracted services in the formats and within the deadlines and standards set by the company.

OPERATIONS EXECUTIVE

The main function of the Operations Executive is to ensure that the trips entrusted to him or her run smoothly, from the receipt of the file to the departure of the passengers, and that it corresponds to what is stipulated in the contract with the client.

  • To follow the daily progress of the trips entrusted to him/her.
  • To be in constant contact with the guide and to ensure that the programme is followed in detail.
  • Resolve any difficulties that may arise and represent the company during the passengers’ stay in the country.
  • Check that the financial requirements of the operation are met.
  • Ensure that each passenger fills in the satisfaction questionnaires.
  • Alerting in case of complaints or claims.
  • Communicate and inform the Operations Manager and the CM about the quality of service delivery from suppliers.

Qualifications and skills required for the position:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in incoming agencies
  • Minimum 3 years experience in tourism operations (field)
  • Ability to communicate in 2 languages (ideally English or French, in addition to Spanish which is mandatory and Portuguese if applying for Brazil).
  • Knowledge of TourplanNX (ideal, but if you know other systems, you can apply).
  • Managing local suppliers and local knowledge

KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER

This is a purely commercial role, specialising in providing a personalised service to the company’s key clients.

  • Responsible for the company’s key accounts.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction from commercial approaches to the post-sales phase, i.e. the complete cycle of the relationship.
  • Coordinates the relationship between the client and the company’s teams.
  • Follow-up of customer relations in the assigned market.
  • In charge of consolidating the company’s key accounts/clients.

Qualifications and skills required for the position:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in tourism or related sectors.
  • Ability to communicate in 2 languages (ideally English or French, in addition to Spanish which is mandatory).
  • TourplanNX (ideally, but not compulsory)
  • CRM management (ideally SalesForce)

Our Technology positions

TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST

TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST

Role: Responsible for all actions concerning Tourplan, Sales force and the Microsoft package, plus any other technology systems that are necessary for the correct operation of all the Quimbaya tours team’s operations with current or expanding capabilities.

Strategy

  • Responsible for ensuring that the software is correctly fulfilling the strategic (reporting) and tactical (operational and administrative) needs of the business.
  • Manage the relationship with suppliers
  • Creation and generation of reports as requested by management.
  • Vision of additional business/value-adding possibilities derived from the data generated by the software.
  • Responsible for database feed strategy.

Usability, configuration and integration

  • Individual management and/or execution of necessary upgrade and maintenance projects.
  • Individual or coordinated execution with suppliers of configurations necessary for systems to meet the requirements of the QT team.
  • Coordinate with operational and administrative teams to execute necessary enhancements or upgrades or updates to facilitate the use of the software.
  • Ensure that the software is properly integrated with the company’s other technology systems to avoid rework and optimise management.
  • Ensure that the MSO package is correctly integrated to make the most of the company’s network (teams, exchange, office, outlook).

Training

  • Coordinate and execute training on software enhancements.
  • Ensure that all new staff (inductions) are trained in the use of the software and have the competencies for its use depending on their role.
  • Responsible for creating, updating and disseminating the manual for the correct use of the software.

Security

  • Responsible for managing the IT security activities related to the use of the company’s systems.
  • Responsible for the management of accounts, users, hierarchy and assignment of access to all systems.

Candidate profile

  • Academic studies in systems or related fields. Master’s degree or higher, to be assessed.
  • Previous experience of at least one year as a master user or specifically as a Tourplan configurator.
  • Knowledge of CRM configuration, experience in Sales Force to be valued.
  • At least 3 years experience working on development projects or technological implementations.
  • Knowledge and experience in tourism to be valued.
  • Microsoft Office Specialist certification of great value for the application.
