Departure to Valladolid and visit of the city.

Valladolid is built on the ancient Mayan ceremonial center of Zací. Valladolid is a small city that has managed to preserve its colonial aspect and its gentle way of life. The majority of the inhabitants have retained the traditional dress of the Yucatán Peninsula and the houses that line the Zócalo are pastel in color.

Continue to Chichen Itza and visit the archaeological site.

This sacred city was one of the largest Mayan centers on the Yucatan Peninsula. Mayans and Toltecs left monuments and artistic works on stone with the imprint of their vision of the world and the universe.

Day 3 Merida

Departure for the visit to the Celestun Biosphere Reserve. Celestún is a city in the Yucatán region. It is located in the northwest corner of the state, just north of the border with the state of Campeche, on the Gulf Coast. Surrounding the city is the 147,500 acres (600 km²) of the Parque Natural del Flamenco Mexicano
(also known as the "Celestun Biosphere Reserve").

A wetland reserve that is the winter home of vast flocks of flamingos, as well as many herons and other bird species. In addition, about 300 species of birds cross into the Reserve, which migrates. The ecosystem of Celestun is unique because of the combination of fresh water from the estuary and salt water from the Gulf of Mexico. The reserve also has two types of pelicans - great Canadian whites and small grey Mexicans.

Exploration of the archaeological site of Uxmal, classified by UNESCO. The architectural style called Puuc is of great finesse and elegance. Horizontal buildings decorated with mosaics, such as the governor's palace, are complemented by imposing, rounded pyramids such as the Diviner's pyramid.

Day 5 Campeche / Calakmul / Xpujil

04:00 Early departure to Puerta Calakmul

Arrival and American breakfast at the Puerta Calakmul Hotel

Transfer by van to the archaeological site of Calakmul

This site was only discovered in 1930 and is one of the most recent Mayan sites open to the public. It sits in the middle of the largest tropical reserve in the entire country, this reserve is the second lung of all of America.

You'll feel like you're on an Indiana Jones adventure because this site is still very wild! There are about 6,000 buildings, only a few of which have been searched. This site is still very uncrowded, which will allow you to enjoy the peace and nature.

Get ready to spot monkeys, birds, and other animals that call this beautiful place home!

Tulum, the maritime gateway of the Mayan Empire to the world of the Caribbean. Founded around 900 CE, when the great Mayan sites were already abandoned, Tulum reached its peak between 1200 and 1400. It was probably a large port where traders from all parts of Mexico flocked, which explains the
heterogeneous nature of its architecture.
