Day 1 Arrival in Cancun / Tulum

Arrival at the Cancun International Airport.

Welcome by our English speaking guide and transfer to Tulum.

Day 2 Tulum / Muyil

American breakfast at the hotel.

Departure to Muyil, located at 20 minutes from Tulúm, where you start with a one-hour guided tour by our trilingual Maya guide and surrounded by nature. In this unique and mysterious place with colorful birds impress visitors you will learn the virtues of medicinal, poisonous and hallucinogenic plants. The guide will tell stories and legends of their ancestors and the events of his personal experience of living in the region. After visiting the archaeological site, you will take the SAC-BEH (Mayan word that meaning terrace white road), that is the path through the jungle to go to Canan-Ha Lagoon to Muyil, a turquoise lagoon of fresh water.. Departure in a boat over the blue crystal clear waters of the laguna Chunyaxche who has an artificial channel. Ancient Maya dug this channel 1000 years ago to become a part of the trade route that connected with the nearby lake called “Laguna” After visit the archaeological site and lagoons, you will have the opportunity to swim in the clear waters of the canal, along the river. .

Back to Tulum. Arrival and visit the archeological site of Tulum

Tulum (Tulu’um in Modern Maya) ; in Spanish orthography, Tulum) is the site of a Pre-Columbian Maya walled city serving as a major port for Coba- The ruins are located on 12-meter (39 ft) cliffs, along the east coast of the Yucatán Peninsula on the Caribbean Sea in the state of Quintana Roo, Mexico. One of the best-preserved coastal Maya sites, Tulum is today a popular site for toursist.

Back to the Hotel. Afternoon at leisure. At evening departure to Dos Palmas.

Dos Palmas offers a magical night in the heart of the jungle of the state of Quintana Roo. You will find yourselves being part of ancient Mayan rituals. A Shaman (Mayan priest) will explain the importance of living in harmony with nature. You will get prepared in soul and mind to enter the Temazcal, (ancient Mayan sauna bath) Relax and enjoy a natural infusion of herbs (tea). After the temazcal and this ancient Mayan traditions, walk through a beautiful night in the jungle heading for a refreshing swim in a Cenote (natural fresh water sink holes)

Traditional Dinner included at Dos Palmas served by the women of the community. They prepare Mayan style chicken, which is cooked with achiote (local BBQ like flavored seed), beans, rice and tortillas hand made

Because this activity in only available, Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays, Dos Palmas demand a minimum of 10 participants for give this service another day different to those mentioned

Day 3 Tulum / Valladolid

Departure to Yucatan.

1st stop in Valladolid, a colonial town founded in 1543 on the ex-Mayan site of Zaci.

Towards to Chichen Itza

Visit of the archaeological site of Chichen Itza. Chichén Itzá was probably the main religious center of the Yucatán and remains today one of the most important archaeological sites and the most visited in the region.

Towards to Merida

Visit the capital of the state of Yucatan, prosperous, charming city of narrow streets, colonial buildings and shady parks.

Known as the “White City” because of the preponderance of quarried limestone and white paint, Merida has been a center of Mayan culture in Yucatan since before the conquistadors arrived

Day 4 Merida / Izamal / Ekbalam / Cancun

Road to Izamal and discovery of a colorful Mayan cemetery.

Stop at Izamal known in the Yucatan as “yellow city” because most of this colonial town houses are covered with ocher paint. It is also called “the city of hills”, probably referring to the likely ruins of pyramids.

Arrival and visit the site

Ek Balam is truly one of the gems of the ancient Maya Civilization. For years the archaeologists dated the site from around 600 A.D. to 1000 A.D. but, recent evidence shows that Ek Balam was inhabited as early as 400 B.C. and up to Colonial times

Visit of the city of San Cristobal de las Casas, named in honor of Dominican priest Bartolomé de las Casas, who defended the Indians against the colonizers excesses. The city is studded with churches.
