Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Rio de Janeiro IN

The spectacular beauty of Rio is compelling. This glamorous metropolis is kissed by the sun, scalloped by gorgeous wide beaches, and dotted with dramatic mountains. Yet its history marked it not as a playground but as an important port-for the shipment of gold, gemstones, and coffee- and as a seat of colonial power.

Rio’s beaches define its culture: vibrant, joyful, beautiful, and every beach has its own flavor: from great lady Copacabana with its volleyball nets and out-door cafés to the seductive Ipanema; from São Conrado with its hang gliders to the hip, expansive Barra da Tijuca.

Lunch included in a local restaurant.

Visit of the Upper City. The rich baroque architecture is a permanent source of discoveries. Salvador’s rich religious past is responsible for the actual title of “The city of 365 churches”. The visitors will visit the Pelourinho – where slaves were punished, this plaza is now the setting for one of the largest and most charming groupings of Brazilian colonial architecture and a thriving cultural renaissance – the Igreja de Nosso Senhor do Bomfim and Igreja de São Francisco.
