First, visit the Monserrate Palace , which offers panoramic views of the city. You can reach it by cable car or funicular . Then, explore the historic center , La Candelaria, on foot and discover houses and churches from the 18th and 19th centuries.

The route begins at the Iglesia de la Carmen, a small church built in the mid-17th ^century and expanded in 1926 to accommodate the growing number of devotees of the Virgen del Carmen. On the way to Plaza Bolivar , you'll also visit Casa Nariño, the former residence of the Colombian president , and the Observatory Gardens at its center. The austere facade of Santa Clara Iglesia now houses a colonial art museum. Plaza Bolivar is surrounded by notable landmarks such as the National Congress , the Palace of Justice , and Bogotá's Mayor Palace, as well as the Minor Cathedral , the Saglio Palace , and the Arzobispardo Palace .

Visit the Gold Museum - part of the Bank of the Republic; it was created on the initiative of Julio Caro and Luis Ángel Arango to prevent the disappearance of many pre-Columbian treasures.

Visit the Botero Museum - the art collection donated by internationally recognized Colombian artist Fernando Botero in 2000 and is on permanent display.

Explore the colonial district known as " Casco Viejo ", a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Stroll through the streets of this charming neighborhood: the church, Plaza Francia (modern cityscape), Plaza Bolivar, etc.

Then continue to visit the Amodo Dam , originally designed as a Pacific breakwater for the canal, connecting the mainland with the islands of Naos, Perico, and Flamenco.

You can also stop by the Biomuseum and take photos of this breathtaking building designed by renowned architect Frank Gehry.
